On Thursday, 06 October 2016, a group of professors and students from the Faculty of Theology of the University Tübingen in Germany, visited the Institute "Ibn Sina". During the visit, proffessor Dr. Stefan Schreiner spoke about the activities of the Group for Religious Studies Tübingen University. Professor said, among other things: The aims of establishing this study group is introducing the comparative study of religion and realistic view of religious change in modern times.
Doctor Rouhollah Ghaderi Kangavar, director of the Institute "Ibn Sina", welcomed the distinguished guests from Germany and said that the Research Institute "Ibn Sina" is a bridge of scientific and cultural exchanges between Iran and the Western Balkan countries, especially Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Research Institute "Ibn Sina" Sarajevo will award two scientific prizes in the amount of 3,000 KM (three thousand KM) in the following areas:
- Islamic philosophy,
- Comparative philosophy - a comparative study of Islamic and Western philosophy,
- Cultural history,
- Education and training,
- Tasawwuf and gnosis,
- Political Science and International Relations.
We invite all interested researchers, professors and students to send us their so far unpublished works, master's / doctoral theses, studies, books that have been written in 2015 or the current year in printed form, directly or by email to the Institute not later than January 30. 2017.
Papers can be submitted by regular mail to the Institute’s address or electronically. It is required to indicate “For the Annual Ibn Sina Award” in your mail or e-mail. It is also required to send personal data and a short biography, along with e-mail address and phone number..

Symposium "Where Have The Ethics Gone?" XXII is organized by The Bosniak national community of Croatia, Research Institute "Ibn Sina" from Sarajevo,the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb and the Majlis from Zagreb as a co-organizer

The Annual "Ibn Sina" award ceremony was held On Wednesday, 03/23/2016. in the amphitheater of the Research Institute in Sarajevo The first laureate of the newly established scientific recognition is mr. Rusmir Šadić from Tuzla, PhD at the University of Zagreb. This year Commission judged his work on "Development of metaphysics within the Islamic philosophical thought."

Regular discussion in "Ibn Sina" research institute this time (Wednesday, 2/18.) Was dedicated to the topic "Translation of Persian works into Bosnian." About this topic spoke Dr. Munir Drkić and Dr. Ahmed Zildžić (Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo), and Muamer Kodrić, translator of Persian literature in Bosnian language.
