1The Ibn Sina Scientific-Research Institute in cooperation with the Office for Social Care of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina organized a three-day long seminar on “Social Role of Religion” for imams, from April 27th to the 29th 2015. Twenty-four imams from Mufti units in Bosnia and Herzegovina attended the seminar that was held in Hotel “Terme” in Ilidža.

Six lecturers presented at the seminar, while participants showed their appreciation for the organization and the seminar in general.

The seminar was opened with a ceremony on Monday; the vice Raisu-l-ulema in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein Smajić, H. E. Seyyed Hossein Rajabi, ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the director of the the Ibn Sina Scientific-Research Institute Dr Rouhollah Ghaderi Kangavari, and the director the Office for Social Care of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Hamed Efendić all addressed the participants at the opening ceremony and attended the seminar. All keynote speakers highlighted the importance of this type of education, the sharing of experience, and the cooperation in the field of culture and scientific work.

The seminar ended on Wednesday April 29th 2015 with the certification ceremony where gentlemen Dr Ghader, Elnur Salihović, director of the Zakat Office, and Bilal Memišević from the Riyasat’s economic and financial service, presented certificates to the participants. Mr. Memišević briefly addressed the participants pointing out the importance of such gatherings and their educational contents, and ended his talk by thanking the organizers.
